Wildlife HQ
π Woombye, QLD
Wildlife park at the iconic Big Pineapple site featuring 50+ species in naturalistic rainforest habitats, daily keeper talks, VIP zoo keeper experiences, and a hop-on hop-off train across five zones.
Wildlife HQ is one of the best wildlife parks Iβve visited during my two months in Australia (Oct - Dec, 2025). First, I want to highlight Tiany at the ticket booth. She was incredibly helpful and attentive, providing detailed explanations about the attractions, including the special programs I had booked. She even offered me some great mosquito repellent when I mentioned I needed it. I remember getting lost in the park, and fortuitously, she appeared and personally guided me back to the meeting point. I am so grateful for her assistance! Additionally, George, the train guide, provided excellent service as we rode the little train through the park. He enthusiastically informed all the guests about the sights along the way, including pineapple plants and various fruit trees, and he warmly welcomed and assisted everyone on board. Finally, I must praise Sue, whom I was lucky to meet while interacting with the Quokkas. We shared our thoughts on how to protect wildlife and how the Australian government supports nature's freedom. I had an amazing experience when a Quokka came up to me, licked my hands, and even embraced me; it felt so wonderful! I deeply appreciate Sue's support during this experience. I could still see her smiling and greeting me as I wrapped up my visit. It truly made my day! I am infinitely grateful for her extensive knowledge and love for animals. Wildlife HQ is fortunate to have such outstanding employees, and I hope the management cherishes them.
π Family Action Verdict
Wildlife HQ works well for families across all ages, with pram-friendly paths and documented wheelchair accommodation making it inclusive. The keeper talks and VIP experience deliver genuine animal learning rather than passive viewing. Bring food and water β dining options are sparse.

βAbsolutely incredible experience at Wildlife HQ Zoo. I was gifted the VIP package and it was truly unforgettable. I had the opportunity to feed and learn about tamarins, meerkats, marmosets, lemurs, snakes, lizards, and even meet a beautiful tortoise named Harold. Every interaction felt thoughtful, educational, and really special. A huge thank you to Lana, the keeper who guided me through most of the experience. Lana is incredibly passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly. You can genuinely feel how much she cares about the animals, and she made the entire experience so much fun. Also a shout out to Declan, the reptile expert, who was so fantastic. He was calm, informative, and clearly loves what he does. The park itself is clean, well maintained, and very welcoming. Staff were friendly throughout, and the whole zoo felt thoughtfully cared for, both for visitors and the animals. I canβt recommend the VIP experience highly enough. Itβs personal, educational, and genuinely magical. A must-do for any animal lover. ππ¦π’β

βWildlife HQ is a wildlife park with a difference, and we absolutely loved our visit. Itβs a fantastic day out for the whole family, and we would highly recommend arriving early to make the most of everything the park has to offer. One of the highlights is the option to travel around the park by train, with five different locations where you can hop off and explore various areas. It makes getting around easy and enjoyable, especially if you want to take your time. We were so absorbed in observing the incredible variety of animals that we completely forgot to check the animal talk times β a good excuse to come back again next time we visit Queensland! Thank you to everyone at Wildlife HQ. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and left with wonderful memories. All the best, Master Paul Mitchell Founder, United Taekwondoβ

βAlways a great time to take pur 8yr old son to the zoo. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. The train ride is a fun add on. There isn't many food options, so I do recommend bring food and water with you, and always wear a hat especially in summer as it can get quite hot, but the natural landscape does provide shade as you walk through the park.β
