1 / 3Aughtie Drive Adventure Playground
π Albert Park, VIC
Castle-themed wooden adventure playground in Albert Park with multi-level climbing, slides, swings, monkey bars, a sandpit, music play, and balance structures. Paid parking applies. Public toilets nearby.
Fantastic playground with maze like features of several levels for the little ones to climb and explore, music play, balance play, and standard playground equipment like slides and swings also available. Picnic benches and bbq available, public toilets also in the area. No free parking, current price $6 cash flat rate on the weekends, additional service charge with card direct or easypark, but I'm happy to pay that because they do maintain the place well and it's like a mini park you get to enter and play for free. Tip if you want to pay cash, drive to the machine that accepts cash first (in front of Alan Davidson field) before driving back towards playground so you don't have to walk so far.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children across a wide age range who want a stimulating, imaginative outdoor play space. The castle structure has enough complexity to keep primary-school-aged kids exploring for well over an hour. Bring your own food and drinks β there is no cafe on-site.

βVisited with my 6 and 8 year old kids and both rate this 5 out of 5. Something for everyone, suitable for both younger and older kids and lots of seating around the perimeter for parents. Nearby toilet facilities arenβt that clean however. Taller kids also just need to watch out they donβt bump their heads when running around.β

βbeautiful playground Like a wooden castle. Children enjoy climbing to help train their arms and legs. There are a lot of activities, adults sit and wait for the children to play, there are chairs to sit and see the beautiful Melbourne city view.β
