1 / 3Bennett Brook Railway
📍 Whiteman, WA
Heritage railway at Whiteman Park with 30-minute loop rides through scenic bushland. One entry ticket covers unlimited rides. Volunteer-operated with a transport museum and souvenir shop on-site.
The experience was great, it was a short wait for the Tain to leave. The staff got us to say all aboard and we pick up some people whose car had got bogged in the mud from the recent heavy rain. There are things to look out for around the line. It was a great experience.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with younger train enthusiasts who want an unhurried day out with unlimited ride access. The unlimited-ride format means kids can loop as many times as they want on a single entry. The transport museum adds a second layer of content for families who want more than just the ride. Children travel free — only adults pay entry.

“Wonderful experience! Tickets are sold at the counter, no online booking unless for parties or 20+ people bookings. You only pay for an entrance fee and can sit all day if you'd wish to. Each ride is 30 mins long. Was lucky to sit on this rare model which was never used for 14 years. However, the coal dust does fly to you at the front rows & open carriages. Don't wear white shirts, mine had some marks on it after the ride. And mask up or pull up your shirt as a makeshift mask. Helps with not breathing in coal 😌👃🫁. The souvenirs was really unique and cheap. And there's a cool transportation museum beside the main railway as well. The staffs were really friendly, funny, and like to talk to us about train facts.”

“Great ride, saw some halloween displays on a 20 mins train loop ride. Recommend to sit at the back to prevent breathing in all the carbon from the train”

““A Nostalgic Train Station Experience!” I was truly impressed by this old-fashioned train station. Here, you can buy tickets for a 30-minute train ride around Whiteman Park, which was an amazing experience for our whole family. The tickets are free for children, and only adults need to pay—but the price is absolutely worth it! The station also has a ticket counter, a merchandise shop, and a small museum showcasing fascinating displays of historic trains in Perth. A must-visit spot for train lovers and families!”
