Nick did great painting job we are very happy with his service we had most of the house interior wall door door frame ceiling skirting outside the house gutter eaves in facer also will hire him again for my next project

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families focused on pool access and parents who want a serious weights room in the same visit. The equipment range is above average for a council facility. Entry can be tightly managed on busy days, so having booking confirmation ready and arriving with time to spare avoids friction at the gate.

β€œI attended the aquatic centre with my husband and our two young children (aged 2 years and 1 year). At approximately 3:50–4:00pm, we were in the large adult pool. Our 2-year-old daughter was semi-jumping into the pool and being caught by my husband. This was done in a controlled, safe manner, and all parties were laughing and enjoying themselves. During this time, a staff member later identified as Emily was standing very close to our daughter and was speaking with a male staff member. They observed us for some time but did not approach us or advise that this activity was not permitted, leading us to reasonably believe that what we were doing was acceptable. Later, at approximately 4:20–4:30pm, we returned to the same pool where Emily was still monitoring. My husband, who has a sore foot, was walking in the walking lane when Emily abruptly told him words to the effect of: β€œKeep moving β€” if you can’t keep moving you will have to move to the wave pool.” This instruction was delivered in a rude and abrupt manner, without any attempt to ask whether my husband required assistance or had an injury. When my husband questioned who we could speak to if we had an issue, Emily immediately reached for her radio in a manner that felt unnecessarily escalatory. Shortly after, our daughter again began the same jumping activity. Emily then immediately approached and stated that our daughter was not allowed to jump, despite not having raised this earlier when observing the same behaviour. I questioned the inconsistency, particularly given that moments earlier we had not been advised of any issue. Rather than explaining the rules calmly or consistently, Emily again reached for her radio, which felt intimidating and unprofessional. When I asked Emily for her name, she responded in a rude and authoritative tone that she was β€œnot required to give [her] name.” I then asked to speak with the manager, who attended and confirmed her name was Emily. I explained the situation to the manager including the inconsistent enforcement of rules and the abrupt, unhelpful manner in which Emily addressed my husband. I also explained that the situation escalated only because of her tone and approach, not because we were unwilling to comply with pool rules. As we were exiting the pool area and concluding our discussion with the manager, Emily walked past us on two occasions and smirked/smiled at us, which further compounded the unprofessional nature of the interaction. I believe Emily’s conduct was unprofessional, inconsistent, and unnecessarily confrontational, and that it reflects poorly on Blacktown City Council and its leisure facilities. Staff should act in a courteous, consistent, and safety-focused manner, particularly when dealing with families and young children.”

β€œI had a very disappointing experience with staff at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope on 8 February 2026 around 12:30 pm. I went to the entrance simply to pick up my kids after their swimming lesson, but I was not allowed to enter. The staff member at the gate asked for my surname and phone number and, in a very rude tone, told me that neither appeared in the system. Despite calmly providing my details and trying to explain the situation, she remained unhelpful and dismissive. The way I was spoken to made me feel uncomfortable and unfairly judged, which was upsetting. While this was happening, my wife was already inside the pool area and had to manage both kids on her own. Eventually, when my wife showed the booking barcode, the staff member entered it and my name immediately appeared in the system. She then stated that the barcode could only be used exactly at the lesson start time. There was no apology for the confusion or for the way I was treated, even though the issue was clearly due to how the system was handled. The entire situation was unnecessary and stressful and could have been resolved with basic courtesy and common sense. I mean if she was colour blind, the conversation would have been much nicer one towards me. The facilities themselves are ok, but customer service at the entry gate seriously needs improvement.”
