1 / 2Reading Cinemas Rouse Hill
π Rouse Hill, NSW
Reading Cinemas Rouse Hill shows current releases with multiple screens, cafe facilities, and free parking. Staff allow outside food, and ticket pickup is simple and fast. Seating condition and maintenance are below standard.
Took my son for first cinema experience here. We got the theatre to yourself. Wow! He did enjoy his premiere experience. Simply pick up your ticket at counter once you decide which movie to watch. Seamless. Big cinema theatre but big seats look dated, nice and clean.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for budget-conscious families who want a no-frills movie session and are comfortable with aged facilities. The ability to bring your own snacks offsets the dated environment. Avoid Luxe sessions β the seat condition and odour do not justify the premium. For a special family outing, choose a better-maintained cinema.

βThe deluxe one is good. Specially the sound system. It is also good that this cinema allows bring your own food or chips inside.β

βI would have given 1 star, but the staff are lovely, so Iβve rated it 2. Every time I walk into a cinema, I smell popcornβ¦ this cinema has a strong smell as if people urinate on the carpets. The Gold Class experience here is not worth the money and had a foul stench which detracts from the experience. I would recommend trying other locations instead for a cinema, surprised they havenβt closed this down or renovated it at least.β

βReally disappointing. These cinemas are now extremely dated, their flagship βLuxeβ cinema has ripped seats and a damp smell. Booked a movie here on the weekend for a βFamily Fun Dayβ, paid extra for the tickets, but staff knew nothing about it, and there was no family fun. Will not be back, and we are fairly regular movie goers here. In dire need of a full refurbishment.β

Overview
The cinema permits patrons to bring their own food β a practical differentiator for families managing snack costs. Ticket collection is seamless at the counter. The Luxe auditorium is the flagship screen and reviewers consistently flag peeling leather armrests, damaged cushioning, and a persistent damp odour. One family paid a premium for a promoted Family Fun Day event that staff had no knowledge of on the day.
