1 / 3Calamvale District Park
π Calamvale, QLD
Large adventure playground with double flying fox, high and low ropes courses, climbing nets, and modern play equipment. Free entry with BBQ facilities, exercise stations, and a dedicated off-leash dog area.
This parkβs a gem, mate. Heaps of space, trees everywhere, and a top-notch BBQ area for snag sessions with the fam. The kids' playground is massive, flying fox, climbing nets, futuristic lookin metal slide and enough stuff to tire 'em out good. Plenty of shaded paths too, perfect for a stroll with your furry mate. My husky Lucas absolutely froths this place from sniffinβ around the memorial to watching the ziplines whiz by. And good news for the little pups: a brand-new small dog off-leash area is on the way (finishing late June 2025, fingers crossed for no rain delays). Great vibes, plenty of parking including street, and itβs clean as. Also keep a look out for food stalls, local events as well P.S. Birdlife? Off the charts. Galahs, kookaburras, bush turkeys, cockies, maggies, crows, noisy miners and come evening, the bats clock in too.
π Family Action Verdict
An excellent free destination for families with children who want genuinely challenging adventure equipment. The double flying fox and ropes courses engage kids aged 5 through teens. BBQ facilities and the dog area make this a natural choice for extended family gatherings. Arrive early on weekends β it draws large crowds by mid-morning.
