Cleland Wildlife Park in the Adelaide Hills offers natural-habitat enclosures with hands-on encounters. Visitors can pat koalas, hand-feed free-roaming kangaroos, wallabies, and emus, and explore a well-curated reptile section.
Visiting this wildlife park was an absolutely delightful experience. I had the opportunity to see a wide variety of iconic Australian animals, from beautiful native birds to reptiles in a well-curated reptile section. One of the highlights was getting up closeβpatting a koala and feeding kangaroos and emus, which made the visit truly memorable. The park is spacious and thoughtfully laid out, making it easy and enjoyable to explore the entire facility. After touring, the modest cafΓ© provided a perfect spot to relax and refresh. Overall, the park is very well organised, family-friendly, and full of enriching experiences. A wonderful place to visit and highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with Australiaβs unique wildlife.

βWe were visiting from Melbourne and have visited many of the wildlife parks there. Cleland Wildlife Park is the BEST one weβve ever visited so far. The park is designed very well, you can easily walk around the park without going back and forth. The wildlife are so friendly and cared for very well. They were all very gentle and we loved seeing them. We also saw wildlife we have never heard of/seen before, like the Potoroos and Rock Wallabies. Meeting and patting the Koala session was an unforgettable experience. Cleland Wildlife has so much to offer, donβt miss stopping by.β

βLovely wildlife park. Loads of different animals. You can buy food to feed the Kangaroos. Donβt just feed the first one you come to because so many want a share of the food. One old Kangaroo had a female and young Kangaroo with him. He was old but so muscular (Iβd love to know his name and age). Highly recommend visiting.β

βThis place is huge. We walked for two hours and still didnβt cover the entire park. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. It was lovely to have close encounters with the wallabies and feed them.β

Overview
Cleland enclosures are designed to resemble natural habitat, and the result is animals that appear relaxed and approachable. Kangaroos, wallabies, and emus roam freely in shared walking areas and come to visitors directly. Koala-patting sessions are a flagship experience. The reptile section is well-curated and extensive. Night walk tours offer a separate experience for those wanting to see nocturnal species.
