Had been planning to go here for a long time. And finally did with my son. We did the bablers loop hike! 3.5km approximately. The route is tricky with some ant hills along the route that make it difficult, walking path is very narrow for some part. And the whole creek is dry ! We spotted a huge rabbit when I had almost given up on siting any animals. We enjoyed the hike and my son loved the park space for kids. We spent 2 hrs here. Good place to picnic as well.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for active families who want to combine structured playground time with genuine bush walking. The Babblers Loop suits children comfortable with uneven terrain and narrow paths — it is not a manicured track. Younger kids who tire quickly are better served starting with the playground and doing a short trail section rather than the full loop.

â„šī¸ What to Know Before You Go

💡Carry water — the creek is dry for much of the year and there are no water stations on trail
⏰Keep dogs on lead throughout; it is a conservation park with wildlife
đŸŽŸī¸Allow around two hours for a full visit combining playground and the complete Babblers Loop
🚗The hiking path narrows significantly in sections and has ant hill obstacles — closed-toe shoes are essential

“It was an autumn afternoon, I walked between the rain and the sun, between the sunshine on the treetops and at the same time the soft raindrops fell on the way back. This is a quiet place for you to relax with family and friends in peace because everything here is extremely simple. If you are a lover of unspoiled nature, this place can give you a gentle sense of harmony. It's a feeling that comes from deep inside when we escape from bustling city life. Right here, I let my bare feet touch the ground and felt the love and breath of mother nature.”
