1 / 3Event Cinemas - Drive-in Blacktown
π Blacktown, NSW
Two outdoor screens with FM radio sound. A 1950s-style diner serves burgers, hot dogs, and wings. Cashless payments only. BYO food permitted. Toddler-friendly with the flexibility of watching from your car.
Visiting the drive in cinema was a pleasant experience, plenty of spaces to park the screen size is perfect very easy to connect the cars radio
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids old enough to sit through a film β the car environment suits restless toddlers who can move freely without disturbing others. BYO food makes it budget-flexible. Dark scenes can be harder to see on outdoor screens, so pick well-lit films for younger children.

βGoing to the drive in feels like stepping back in time for a perfect night out. The food is great, especially with hot dogs and wings added to the usual movie snacks. The staff are wonderful, they are friendly and helpful, and they do a great job making sure everything runs smoothly so everyone has a good time. It would be a nice touch to add some outdoor speakers near the diner for people who like to sit outside their cars and enjoy the fresh air while they watch.β

βThis is a fantastic way to enjoy a movie. You can bring pizza from outside or visit the 60βs style diner. They have an amazing variety of hot food and confectionery. The only downside is some people sit with their feet on the break pedal or donβt know how to turn their parking lights off. Other than this, itβs fantastic!β

βAll the staff, specially the ladies at the entrance, were very helpful. It was difficult to make out what was happening in the darker scenes but the reviews warned us. Definitely take a portable radio, Kmart sells them for $19. The burgers from the diner were not bad but weβll be bringing our own food next time.β
