A fantastic, modern zoo that is incredibly easy to navigate and very family-friendly. The open-air enclosures provide great views of the animals without the distraction of heavy bars or fences. We had a wonderful day out and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children under 10 who benefit most from the child-height enclosures β€” animals are visible without lifting or craning. The annual pass delivers strong value for Western Sydney families who can visit multiple times across a year. On hot days the climate-controlled zones and misting areas make the visit more comfortable.

β€œWe visited Sydney Zoo for the Education Showcase (free entry), and it turned into a perfect family day out as well. There is plenty of parking, which made arrival stress-free. I really loved how well the zoo supports educational programs for teachers and educators informative, engaging, and clearly designed to connect learning with real experiences. The cooling air system throughout the zoo made walking around very comfortable, especially on a warm day. There is an amazing variety of animals, including mammals, birds, and a great collection of reptiles, all beautifully presented. The zoo is well laid out, family-friendly, and easy to explore at your own pace. It’s an excellent place for family outings, school visits, and excursions, and a full day can be planned without feeling rushed. Highly recommend Sydney Zoo for families and educators alike educational, enjoyable, and thoughtfully designed.”

β€œWe had such a great day at Sydney Zoo. The zoo is really well laid out and easy to get around, which makes it perfect for families with kids. There’s a great variety of animals and the enclosures are spacious and well maintained. It feels like you can get really good views of the animals without them feeling crowded. A really nice bonus was the little playground inside the zoo. It’s perfect for kids to have a break, run around, and burn off some energy before heading off to see more animals. The facilities are clean and there are plenty of places to grab food or drinks. Overall it’s a really enjoyable day out. We got a membership which is great value for money.”
