“Gold class was lush as. Surprisingly great coffee for a cinema! Cinema itself was clean and tidy but bathrooms were a disgrace and parking was a nightmare (standard for garden city). Great table service however the cocktails are “on tap” premixed and tasted a little funky. Still a great cinema experience and will be back, though probably during the week next time”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Event Cinemas Mt Gravatt is a classic and spacious cinema located right next to Garden City. I’ve been coming here since I was 19, back in my university days, often watching movies with friends. Even years later, I still come back, and every time I walk into this place, it feels like I’m meeting my younger self again. It’s full of great memories and has such a long-standing history. Truly a special place for me.”

“My friends and i attended event cinemas yesterday, the cinema was basically empty and it was just us and a group of 5 18 year old boys (my friends and i were only 15) they started off by being obnoxiously loud, having there flash lights on, one of the boys starting switching the massive cinema light on and off standing ontop of a step making jokes about pulling his pants down. during the movie ( photo below ) , when we spoke up and asked them to be quiet they were violent and i was kicked multiple times and hit once. (i am a minor) they were getting in our faces and being extremely aggressive. prior to this, one of the boys came and sat next to me putting his hand on my leg in a sexual way i was extremely uncomfortable and immediately told him to get off me. they were running around the room and our seats were at the back, we felt very intimidated to get up and leave especially because he got so aggressive when he saw me filming we didn’t know what would happen if we left. we genuinely did not see 30 minutes of the film and had no idea what happened because of the constant disruption. when we asked to speak to management we were told there was nothing they could do as they didn’t have evidence of what happened even though we had video footage, everytime i asked the manager if he could at least watch the footage he would cut me off and didn’t want to see it. it took 3 times for us to get a refund. the mangers name was Dave and he compared our situation to a burger and said he had been working there for 26 years yet he didn’t think a refund would be appropriate. when our parents came in a different man was a lot more helpful and supportive. the experience here was horrible and i won’t be coming back .”

“Terrible service when ordering food at the cinema. My boyfriend and I had to wait about 40 minutes after the movie had already started for them to bring the small popcorn and churros we ordered — and that was all we received. The drinks we ordered through the app never arrived. If you truly set yourselves apart by offering a premium experience with food and seating, why ruin it like this? More attention needs to be given to the overall customer experience. It completely takes away from the enjoyment of the movie when the food service is this poor.😣😖”
