Frankston Regional Foreshore Playground
๐ Frankston, VIC
Large foreshore playground in Frankston with climbing domes, flying fox, wooden play structures, swings, and slides. Positioned steps from the beach with toilets, BBQ facilities, showers, and boardwalk access nearby.
Frankston foreshore and playground is great for everyone, including families, but be mindful that although the playground is great, there is no fencing around it, so needs supervision with the big car park and busy main road just steps away. The boardwalk is fantastic, giving access to the playground, the beach, shop/ restaurant (when open), toilets and pier. Gets very busy in summer/holiday time. Parking is metered, unless you are lucky enough to get a park on the main road.
๐ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 3-12 who want to combine active playground time with a beach visit in one location. The flying fox and wooden structures engage school-aged kids well. The unfenced perimeter near a busy car park and main road means active supervision is non-negotiable for younger children.

โThis park is great because it has so much playground equipment. It is especially fun to play on the large wooden deck with lots of equipment. I find the long mesh walkway very interesting. Also, the wooden rides are very stylish. I haven't seen them in other parks, but they are very nice playground equipment. This park has BBQ facilities, restrooms, parking lots, and benches. There is also a pathway leading to the beach. It is a very beautiful and fun park.โ

โGreat spot for the kids to play and have a swim at the beach in summer. There are showers, toilets, walking tracks and the council clean the beach most mornings so itโs free of any dangerous items. The ocean is shallow and plenty of space on the sand for a good beach setup with the family. Parking is $3.50 per hour or there is 30mins free parking if youโre only doing a quick stop.โ

โA very open playground area, security gates on the foreshore side. Dogs ๐ are welcome, but must be restrained by a leash ๐ฆฎ. Public Toilet Facilities next to the playground and undercover BBQ areas with seating. A variety of playgroup equipment for all to use. Public car parking areas, with easy access form parking areas.โ

Overview
Frankston Regional Foreshore Playground sits directly on the foreshore with climbing domes, a flying fox, a long mesh walkway, and distinctive wooden ride structures not commonly found elsewhere. The playground has no perimeter fencing on the car park and road side โ supervision is required. A boardwalk connects the playground to the beach, where the council clears the sand most mornings.
