I LOVED my experience here! I only had the chance to attend for an hour and 15 due to other commitments but it was well worth it. The rides were engaging for both adults and children. I went on the Volaré, Wild Mouse, and the Devil's Drop slide. It has a good range of thrill rides, family rides and funhouse style games. There's also themed sections. In my visit there were the Stranger Things and Squid Game interactive exhibits. An extra fee applied to these, so with limited time I stuck to the main park. This isn't just a novelty in a pretty location. For thrill seekers and families alike, this is a fun half-day to full-day activity. As long as your expectations are in check (this isn't Universal Studios or Movie World) this is well worth your time. I took the train to Milsons Point, though it has a ferry dock directly out front. This could be a fun and visually impressive way to arrive in style.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families with children 5 and older who want a classic harbourside theme park experience. The mix of gentle family rides and thrill attractions suits mixed-age groups well. Families with children under 3 will find sparse ride access. Arrive by ferry for the best approach and a full day to use the unlimited rides option effectively.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

💡Take the ferry — it drops you at the entrance and the harbour approach is part of the experience
Check the website before visiting on a weekday — most rides close outside school holidays
🎟️Bring your own food or eat beforehand; park food prices are high
🚗Public transport is the practical choice — street parking around Milsons Point is very sparse

Huge Stranger things fan here, so I was so excited to go to the Stranger Things Experience. The whole family loved it, the actors and storyline were great and the visual effects and 3D were done really well. I loved that the main characters in the show were included too. We had some food at the end and it was really fresh and tasty and not too expensive either. I would have liked there to be a bit more merch, I was looking for some of the items from the Netflix shop to be there to save paying huge postage from the states but looks like I will have to order online. Overall super happy to have been able to go to the experience before it finishes up soon.

We recently visited the Stranger Things Experience at Luna Park and had a great time. The park is easy to reach—just a 10‑minute walk from Milsons Point train station—and you can also take a ferry that drops you right at the entrance. Parking in the area is limited, so public transport is definitely the better option. Luna Park offers plenty to enjoy, from classic rides to carnival‑style games. The toilets are conveniently located a few metres to the right of the entrance. Alongside Stranger Things, there are other immersive experiences inspired by popular Netflix series like Squid Game. Food prices aren’t cheap, but they’re reasonable for a theme‑park setting. Overall, it’s a fun spot to spend time with family. Because the park sits right on the harbour, you can capture fantastic views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House from angles you won’t get at Circular Quay. The atmosphere is lively and enjoyable, and if you’re in the Sydney area, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Very fun day out with lots to see and do! We ran out of time to see everything, you really need a whole day there to enjoy all the rides. I would have given 5 stars if there was more rides available for the 'red ticket' holders (generally 3-4 year olds) and if the park had some sort of lockers available to store your things in. Don't buy any food here if you can avoid it....it's pretty expensive and make sure you catch the ferry over. It's much quicker than trekking back up the hill to the train station.
