One of the many magical places in Sandgate and Shorncliffe to go and spend some time and while away the afternoon, with ocean views & lots of trees to lay under in The shade on the beautiful well kept grassy knoll and it's definitely worth a visit. There's even a cafe across the road from it if you're feeling hungry or want to get a coffee. Thanks to life and creation, it's a magical place with some swings and climb able trees for younger folk or young families. Go & you will have a enjoyable experience.

🏆 Family Action Verdict

Best for families wanting a relaxed, unhurried half-day with multiple low-key options rather than a structured activity. Fishing gear, paddleboards, and bikes all work well here without needing to book anything. The bay views and shaded grassy areas make long picnic sessions comfortable.

Take the fishing gear and wet a line, you can go onto the long jetty, fish from the beach and a rock wall. Maybe taking a walk is your thing plenty of walking paths, they also have some electric scooters you can hire, Easy accessible for wheelchairs. So if you looking for a fun family day out then head on down.”

“Beautiful park on top of the hill, above the blue waters of the ocean. Lovely location with green grass, plenty of shade, nice views ... Relaxing, quiet place. A few banches to sit, coffee shop across the street (open only in the morning!) and close carpark. Ideal for many occasions including picnic/BBQ.”

“A small quiet park with local coffee shop nearby and walk down the path to the foreshore. Always some families having fun with their kids there. I park here and start my long runs across the Redcliffe bridge and back. Nice flat track.”
