This playground is amazing and really inclusive. There’s a little bike track for kids to ride bikes or race wheelchairs, there’s a fence to prevent kids running away, there’s sign language on signs around the park, picnic tables, heaps of shade, grass area for picnic rugs, not to mention all the accessible play equipment including a wheelchair accessible swing. Great park, will definitely be back. Would be perfect for a birthday party!

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

The strongest inclusive playground option in Adelaide for children with mobility needs or disabilities. The wheelchair-designed equipment, Changing Places toilets, gated fencing, and BMX tracks cover a wide range of abilities and ages. Families running birthday parties with accessible requirements will find it the most complete option in the area.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Changing Places toilets require an MLAK key β€” arrange access in advance if needed
⏰Bring a change of clothes β€” the water play feature regularly soaks younger children
🎟️The gated perimeter is useful for children who tend to wander
πŸš—Musical instruments and a bike track extend beyond standard playground equipment

Overview

Located in Rymill Park beside the lake, this inclusive playspace provides accessible swings, water play areas, BMX tracks, monkey bars, and see-saws designed for all abilities. The fully fenced site includes BBQ facilities, Changing Places toilets (MLAK key required), sign language on signage, musical instruments, and a gated perimeter. A recent review flags the accessible toilets as lacking handwash soap β€” worth confirming current maintenance status.
