1 / 3Rymill Park (Park 14)
π Adelaide, SA
Central Adelaide park with a scenic lake, pram-friendly walking paths, playground, open grass picnic areas, and a small rose garden. Hosts major festivals including Adelaide Fringe Gluttony precinct, which can bring temporary fencing.
Such a gorgeous spot right in the middle of the cityβeasy to get to, whether you're walking from the East End or parking nearby. The lake, the bridges, the little rose gardenβthey all make it a favourite for both lunch breaks and photo walks. Just a heads up: thereβs often temporary fencing for events, which can get in the way of the view or a peaceful loop, but itβs still well worth a visit.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families wanting a central city green space that works for a range of ages. The lake, walking paths, and open grass suit toddlers through to teenagers. The playground adds structured play.

βEven though it was a little damp, Gluttony, a Fringe festival precinct, was it's usual glittering-exciting fulfilled place. Perhaps made even more colourful by a plethora of umbrellas. All facilities appear to be accessible. More food and drink outlets had ramps, even if i only noted one bar with a section of lowered counter. Toilet facilities were ample, clean and numerous.β

βLove this park on the east side of Adelaide city. Has a nice vibe, excellent paths for walking or riding. Good amenities and fun playground for the kids. I used to take my children here and weβd go on the row boats. Sad to see that Joe is no longer there as he ran such a welcoming & friendly business.β

βHad a great time at the show (Adults Only Magic Show), full of laughs and innuendo, a bit raunchy at times but all in fun. Disappointed that drink venue nearby was card only, because of that we didn't try any other vendors. Highly recommend the show we went to, tickets received thanks to South Aussie with Cosi who always delivers for his fansβ

Overview
Rymill Park sits in the heart of Adelaide parklands with a large lake crossed by bridges, a children playground, paved paths suitable for prams and bikes, and open grass areas for picnics. A small rose garden adds colour near the lake edge. The park is a regular festival venue β Adelaide Fringe Gluttony precinct sets up here annually, bringing vendors and temporary fencing that can alter access and atmosphere during those periods.
