Brilliant. My daughter had the time of her life and went for both a tractor ride and a pony ride! The farm was just the right size. Been to other farms but this was a really great experience. Even have a playground. They recycle tubs for you to buy feed in too. Lots of animals. A+++
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 2 to 10 wanting a genuine farm experience rather than a themed attraction. The calm animals, hands-on feeding, and tractor rides make it particularly strong for toddlers and primary-age children. Pack your own food as there is no cafe, and add it to a Peninsula day trip itinerary.

“Love the rustic real farm feel to this place. Animals are beautiful, prices are fair and facilities are fantastic for having a rest a picnic and a play in the playground or old tram. Tractor ride is fun 😁 always have a great time here with the animals.”

“Wonderful day out for the kids (mine were aged 8 and 4 and both had an absolute ball). We were there 4 hours and could have stayed longer. Be warned, it's very rustic and there's no cafe, so be sure to pack lunch - but as farm experiences go, it ticked every box. Tractor Ride, bottle feeding and close encounters with pretty much every type farm animal - even though the Guinea pigs ended up being the clear favourite. Friendly staff and clearly a family business that take great care of their animals. Happy to support such a great little business.”

“We visited this place as a family and had a wonderful time. There were many animals like lamas, pigs, ducks and horses, and the kids had so much fun interacting with them. The environment is very family friendly and enjoyable. The staff were extremely kind, helpful and friendly, which made our visit even better. We definitely recommend Rain Hayne & Shine Farmyard for families with children!”
