Roma Street Parklands Playground
π Brisbane City, QLD
Roma Street Parklands Playground has two separate zones: a rope-ladder and steep-slide area for children 4 and up, and a watermelon-themed section sized for toddlers.
Fabulous play area, very busy on a Saturday. There are 2 playgrounds. The one with a preponderence of rope ladders and bridges, plus 2 steep slides, is more suitable for older children. The other one with funky watermelon decor is the right size for toddlers and right opposite the stop for the Xpress Fun Train, which leaves every 15 minutes. $6 per passenger. There are also ice-creams and snacks like popcorn available at the kiosk.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 4 and up who want a full-day outing with great amenities in the Brisbane CBD. The two-zone layout means different age siblings can each find appropriate equipment. Toddlers under 4 need close supervision in the rope-ladder area due to fall risks β the watermelon zone is the right call for them.

βThis playground has all the good stuff. Slides, swings, and even a climbing wall for the adventurous ones. The kids loved it. It's well-kept, and thereβs a decent spot to park your car nearby. Good for a bit of peace and quiet while the kids run wild!β

βEnough places to explore. Event garden, cafe, restaurant, ice cream shops, good access to the toilet on every side you choose to play with change room for nurseries. Using parm or wheelchairs no problem. Easy access to bus and train station πβ

βNice playground, but there are several places a kid could fall down and get seriously hurt. Itβs best for kids aged 4 and up.β
