Elaborate outdoor playground in St Leonards with maze-like climbing structures, three slides including one large slide, swings, and multiple connecting bridges. Free entry with pram access and underground train station connection.

Such a pretty and cozy place that distracts you perfectly from the busy 'not so pacific' highway. It resembles Singapore tbh, just the playground by itself is definitely one of a kind 'Sydney style'. The tucked away seating areas are lovely, it provides you with some privacy (in case you don't want people to see what nonsense you're posting on social media lol). Ps there's an underground connection with st Leonard's train station (or as my offspring calls it 'st Lemmons).

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best for kids aged 2–12 who enjoy complex play structures with multiple routes and challenges. The maze layout keeps curious kids occupied far longer than standard equipment. The St Leonards station connection makes it accessible without a car. Supervise closely inside the enclosed tunnels β€” metal edges inside one tunnel have caused head injuries.

ℹ️ What to Know Before You Go

πŸ’‘Park on the back street for easier entry and closer access to the playground
⏰Underground connection to St Leonards station makes this accessible without a car
🎟️Supervise closely inside the enclosed tunnels β€” metal fixtures inside have caused injuries
πŸš—Asian supermarket and eateries on the nearby strip are good for post-play food

β€œIt’s open again today! The council has fixed the big slide and the playground after it was wrecked by some morons. They’ve replaced all the plastic and glass panels on the walking section with metal ones, so it’s much safer now.”

β€œThe park offers a plethora of amenities, including partially shaded seating, a drinking water fountain, and ample bins for convenience. With three slides, swings, and bridges, the play area provides endless entertainment for children. What's more, the play equipment area is spacious enough for adults to comfortably supervise their little ones. The presence of security cameras ensures added safety, although it would be ideal if the playground were fenced off. However, the surrounding area boasts several eateries and an Asian supermarket, perfect for a post-playground treat. Parking on the back street is a breeze, making access hassle-free. Overall, Wadanggari Park provides a lovely environment for families to enjoy. It's clean, tidy, and fosters a sense of security, ensuring a pleasant experience for both kids and adults alike. While it can get busy at times, the park comes highly recommended for children aged 2 to 12.”

β€œWow what an awesome playground and park. This really is one of the best with a very thorough maze with numerous ways to get to different sections. One large slide with two smaller and enough room for adults to get through your kids can spend hours here. Quite a lot of lights even when night comes and plenty of food places around to eat at. The soft fall is particularly bouncy too. The net grids are not too large for smaller kids either which is nice (less chance to legs to fall through). Heaps of places to sit at with tables and chairs.”
