π An Unforgettable Experience! We had such an amazing time on this kayak tour. Our guide was absolutely fantastic β knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel safe and relaxed the whole time. We were incredibly lucky to spot dolphins swimming nearby, which made the experience even more magical. Being out on the water, surrounded by raw, untouched nature, truly made me feel grateful and in awe. This tour is more than just paddling β itβs a chance to reconnect with the natural world in the most beautiful way. Highly recommended!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with kids who are comfortable on the water and genuinely curious about marine ecosystems. The guides are exceptionally knowledgeable and patient with beginners. Set clear expectations about dolphin sightings before arriving β families who come for the kayaking itself leave satisfied every time.

Overview
The Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary protects wild dolphins in the Port River estuary. Guided kayak tours paddle through mangrove waterways and past shipwrecks with guides β several of whom hold marine biology PhDs. Dolphins are wild and free-roaming; sightings range from multiple pods to none. The tour is consistently rewarding regardless of dolphin presence thanks to the mangrove ecosystem and shipwreck history. Entry to the sanctuary is free; tours are bookable separately.
