1 / 3Big Kart Track
π Landsborough, QLD
Australia's largest commercial go-kart track near Australia Zoo, with 50 high-performance karts reaching 70km/h, 15 and 30-minute sessions, night racing on weekends, and covered spectator areas.
Spectator today but family group participated and enjoyed. Good facility, food n drink available. Note height restrictions apply and you will need closed in shoes and to purchase a balaclava to be able to race for hygiene requirements. Good track and amount of carts. Good viewing for spectators. Well set up and popular.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children who meet the height requirement and teenagers chasing a genuine racing experience. The 30-minute split-session format suits families well β race, rest and eat, then race again. Spectator facilities are strong, making it worthwhile even for family members who prefer to watch rather than race.

βIβve been visiting Big Kart Track every time Iβm in Australia for the past 20 (maybe 30? Iβve lost count!) years, and it never gets old β although apparently I do, because Iβm pretty sure the last time I beat my daughter wasβ¦ wellβ¦ letβs just say itβs been a while. Iβm holding onto that victory like it was a world championship title. π This place is pure fun. Whether youβre racing with friends, family, or fiercely competitive children who have zero mercy, the track delivers every single time. The karts are incredibly well maintained and honestly look (and feel!) like new. You can tell they really take care of their equipment β everything runs smoothly, safely, and fast enough to make you feel like a professional driverβ¦ until a 14-year-old overtakes you on the inside corner. The whole venue is kept in fantastic condition, and after decades of visits, Iβm still impressed by how fresh everything looks. Itβs one of those rare places that consistently delivers the same great experience year after year. If youβre anywhere near the Sunshine Coast and feel like settling old family rivalries at high speed, this is the place to do it. Just be prepared: your kids might get faster, but the memories are unbeatable. Iβll be back again next trip β maybe this will be the year I reclaim my title!β

βNice place for children, young and adults to have a go at the go karts. There is a minimum hight requirement. Pls check the site. We had good fun. We did the 15 min x 2 sessions. That was the most that I could do. It's somewhat tiered as you work on the race. They now also have a picnic area and BBQ units. I didn't use them. Toilets are available. Have a good run. Can be busy during school holidays. But it's not too much of a wait to get your turn. It's very close to the Australia zoo. If you have not done Go Karting before, let them.k.ow and they will run through it for you. It's very easy and fun. The track is very good as well. I have seen kangaroos next to the track. Don't think they hop in for a run π, try avoid the mid day sun if you can as it can be very hot. Mornings and evenings are ideal. It's always fun to kart with a group of friends. Enjoy!β

βGreat fun and the track is brilliant. No need to book if a small group and you can buy 30 minutes of time but go out in 15 minute slot, then come in and eat or drink and then got back out for the next 15 minutes. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and lots of undercover deck or umbrella seating and tables if you are only spectators.β
