1 / 3Gardiner Reserve Park and Playground
π North Melbourne, VIC
Gardiner Reserve in North Melbourne features three separate playground areas with climbing structures, slides, swings, a spider climbing frame, and a large sandpit. BBQ facilities, shaded seating, and new on-site public toilets.
My 20 months old had the best time at this playground. It was very well looked after. We canβt wait to go back!
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with toddlers and children under 5 β the equipment across all three zones is sized and designed for smaller kids, and the new toilets make it a practical choice for young families. Older primary-age children will likely exhaust the play options quickly. The large sandpit rewards families who bring digging toys.

βJust spread the picnic blanket and spend a chilling day with friends and family. It is relatively a smaller park than the other one I've gone to before. However, they have a nice play setup for children. Nestled in the north Melbourne and close to McCauley St, this park is a nice spot for the locals to take a walk with their pooch or take the family out to enjoy the weather.β

Overview
Gardiner Reserve's three distinct playground zones allow children of different ages and abilities to spread out across the park. Equipment includes climbing structures, slides, monkey rungs, a spider climbing frame, swings, and a large sandpit. BBQ facilities and shaded seating areas support picnic visits. New public toilets are installed on site. The park is adjacent to McCauley Street and some road noise is audible from the play areas.
