1 / 3Hahndorf Mini Golf
📍 Hahndorf, SA
Outdoor mini golf in Hahndorf run on an honour system — grab clubs and balls, pay at the unmanned desk by cash or card. Varied hole difficulty with a weathered charm that divides opinion and wins over most visitors.
I’ve been to this place twice with my 9-year-old son, who absolutely loves playing golf here. The customer service has always been excellent. On one occasion, when I called, no one was available at the counter as the staff member was on a break I didn’t catch her name. She politely apologised for the inconvenience and kindly offered us a free ticket, which was very much appreciated.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families who can approach a slightly worn course with good humour. Kids who love golf get genuine replay value from the varied holes. Adults in groups of four or more often find the quirky challenges entertaining rather than frustrating.

“This is such a charming little minigolf experience. It's a bit run down and clearly needs some maintenance, but considering the price and honour system (just pay wave at the desk and grab a ball/club), if no one is at the desk. It's such great value! It can get pretty busy, but is actually worth the money and doesn't feel like a tourist trap like the rest of the town.”

“Ok it’s a bit sad and shabby but strangely enough our group of 4 adults over 60years had a blast. It’s on a honour system so bring $9 cash per adult or there’s a family rate. Difficulty rates varied but some had missing parts on the green that made it even more challenging. Release your inner child and laugh through it. Lots of screaming on holes in one!”

“Like the other reviews say, the course is a bit shabby, but still fun, you just have to have the right expectations. There was friendly staff there when we went, but it looks like it’s set up to pay by cash or card on the honor system if no one is minding it.”

Overview
Hahndorf Mini Golf operates on a self-serve honour system: collect equipment, pay by cash or tap at the unmanned counter. Holes vary in difficulty and some have missing green components that add unintentional challenge. The course shows its age throughout — surfaces are weathered and parts are missing in places — and the affordable entry and relaxed format consistently win families over. Staff are on site intermittently.
