Multi-format cinema inside Highpoint shopping centre with HOYTS LUX premium recliners, D-BOX motion seats, and Xtremescreen with ATMOS sound. Sunday morning and weekday discount sessions available.
Watched Send Help on Dbox on 20 Feb at 8:50pm. I had seat A6. Unfortunately, there was no movement of the seat. I tried to increase the intensity with the button but nothing changed. I'm sad I paid extra for a feature I couldn't experience. Not sure if there's any way I can request a partial refund, just enough to factor in the extra paid for a d-box show. Any help would be appreciated. I love coming here on Fridays to watch a movie by myself. And this was my first bad experience.
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families after a premium recliner or ATMOS sound experience on a weekday or Sunday morning when discount pricing applies. D-BOX seats add genuine motion to action films for older kids β check the feature is operational before committing to the surcharge. Xtremescreen with ATMOS is the most consistent premium format here.

βThis is aimed to the manager of the facility, not Hoyts as a business, but one doesn't reach a manager's position without reflecting a business's values, right? Peaky Blinders Immortal man, 7/3/26. Tickets, snacks, drinks. Upon entering cinema 5 it became apparent that the aircon was not working, it was sweating warm. I immediately walked out to the front desk, let there person there know and they apologetically told me they'll inform the manager. I returned to my seat, however the aircon never worked. I called from myth phone multiple times, only to be forwarded to a full voice mail. After the show, I stopped at the front desk again to complain and a group of employees gathered there, showed clear knowledge of the problem. They simply apologized smiling. "And...?" and nothing else. So the manager had been advised and did nothing about it. Even if the aircon could not be operated at the time, they could simply enter the cinema before the show, explain and offer a voucher to those that would choose not to remain seated for 2 hours in those conditions. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to ask and wait for the manager. But I will be making this complain to the company's offices as well. To those that might find me excessive, no, I'm not entitled. At age 54, I am expecting to receive what I pay for and people to work at the standards I do.β

βVery disappointed with the management of the Serbian-Croatian screening of Svadba. Around 20 minutes into the movie, the projection was incorrectly adjusted, causing disruption and requiring the film to be restarted from the beginning. When concerns were raised, the manager (Katia) offered only a brief apology and declined a reasonable request to extend a goodwill gesture to attendees, such as complimentary refreshments or a voucher, to acknowledge the inconvenience. It is disappointing that the screening could be interrupted due to technical mismanagement, yet no courtesy gesture was considered appropriate for a once-a-year cultural event. A poor reflection on customer care and community sensitivity.β

βDecided to give Hoyts another go after ten years of only going to my local independent cinema, and what a waste of money that was. Itβs disappointing to see such a historic cinema brand become so impersonal and corporate. Theyβve forgotten that going to the pictures is meant to be an experience. Thereβs no sense of community anymore β everything is self-service. You pour your own drinks, and the popcorn sits in boxes for who knows how long, tasting stale and lifeless. Iβll be sticking with my local Sun Theatre β films the way theyβre meant to be experienced.β
