1 / 3Victoria Park Driving Range
📍 Herston, QLD
Brisbane's inner-city entertainment precinct combines a two-level Toptracer driving range, mini golf with water traps and swinging poles, a kids playground, and a bistro with city skyline views. Located in Herston with free parking.
I had the chance to visit Victoria Park Golf Driving Range in Herston, and I must say it’s one of Brisbane’s most unique inner-city spots for golf, fun, and relaxation. The location itself is perfect—just minutes from the CBD with plenty of free parking. As soon as you arrive, the setup feels impressive: a massive two-level driving range with more than 50 all-weather bays, all fitted with Toptracer technology. It’s not just about hitting balls; you can track your shots, play virtual courses, or challenge friends with fun games like long-drive contests and closest-to-the-pin. What really stands out is the atmosphere. Whether you’re a serious golfer working on your swing or just there for a social outing, it’s welcoming and relaxed. The Sip & Swing lounges are a fantastic option for groups—you get your own bay, unlimited balls, club hire, and food or drinks delivered straight to you. Perfect for parties, casual catch-ups, or even corporate events. The range is open day and night, and hitting under the floodlights with the Brisbane skyline views in the background is an experience on its own. There’s also an 18-hole mini golf course, a modern bistro and bar, and even a kids’ playground, so it’s not just for golfers—it’s a whole day or night out. Prices are reasonable considering the location and facilities. Buckets of balls start from around $19, and Sip & Swing packages are well worth it if you’re going with a group. If I had to mention a couple of small things—on busy weekend nights it does get packed, so booking ahead or visiting during the day is a smart idea. A few people also point out that the range balls aren’t always premium, but honestly, the fun and tech more than make up for it. Overall, Victoria Park Driving Range is more than just a golfing spot—it’s a vibrant, social, and family-friendly destination. Whether you’re a local, a tourist, or just looking for something different to do in Brisbane, it’s definitely worth a visit.
🏆 Family Action Verdict
Best for families with school-aged kids who can swing independently at the range or tackle mini golf. The playground and mini golf keep younger children entertained as adults use the Toptracer bays. Weekday visits avoid the weekend rush. Evening floodlit sessions show off the city skyline.

“I had the pleasure of being able to have my wedding at Victoria park a month ago. It exceeded expectations. Right from the get go I had amazing communication from the wedding team at Victoria park, fast replies and being able to give me in depth information. I was out so at ease, they took care of most of the hard work for me and brought my vision to life. I’m so grateful for the amazing staff prior to the wedding and even more the staff on my wedding night! They were a ball of fun and looked after us so well. I didn’t even have to put in my drink order as soon as he saw me coming it was made up every time. The golf buggy was such a fun ride and the 2 drivers made it such a fun experience going off to our photos. The food was incredible. It was such a stress free, amazing time.”

“Best driving range ever, but it doesn’t just stop there. It has many attributes. Get your mates out, get a bucket and swing away or hit up the mini golf (if that’s more your style) food/bar/bistro/café and the views are really nice! Large bucket of balls is $30 top tracer available it’s a two-story driving range also, really nice having some height to hit off, and apparently is really nice at night! (Yet to try it but my mate says it’s best at night)”

“Amazing in-city public golf course. Exceptionally convenient location, plentiful parking (as long as you're prepared to walk a little distance and there were no special events), well-maintained grassland, great coaches and friendly staff. High tech equipment that track your hit and give you useful statistics.”
