1 / 3Village Cinemas Rivoli
π Hawthorn East, VIC
Beautifully restored art deco cinema on Camberwell Road offering standard and Gold Class recliner seating with full dining service. Intimate hall sizes deliver excellent sound quality. Three hours free parking at adjacent Camberwell Place.
Ash and Fire with a five-course dinner on New Yearβs Eve at Rivolo Gold Class made for a truly memorable night to close out 2025. The cinematic experience was spectacular, with stunning visuals, immersive sound, and the joy of sharing great food and attentive service. The cinema itself was classic and conveniently located in a central area. The food was above average for a cinemaβdecent for a casual pub or restaurantβbut considering the abundance of excellent dining and takeaway options nearby, it felt more like a nice bonus than the main attraction. The only downside was parking - we were there for close to 4 hours in total. We parked a bit further out (400-500m from the cinema).
π Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 10 and up who can sit through a full-length film and appreciate a cinema with genuine character. The Gold Class format works well for milestone celebrations β teens and parents genuinely enjoy the shared recliner experience.

βClassic beautifully restored art deco cinema from top to bottom. Wonderful seating small cinema halls, itβs a delightful date night friends night whatever reason to catch a movie. Next door is Okra Asian restaurant with delicious Asian Malaysian cuisine. Must try the small scale Gold Class next.β

βThe movie was so good that I became neurodiverse. Pee before the movie starts and you will probably make it the whole way through. Beers available (but not to children) 5 starsβ
