1 / 2Discovery Centre Bendigo
đ Bendigo, VIC
Discovery Centre Bendigo has 100+ interactive science exhibits, a full-dome planetarium with space presentations, and the Southern Hemisphere's tallest vertical slide.
We visited the Bendigo Science Centre, and our kids absolutely loved the interactive science and play areas. They had so much fun learning through play. We enjoyed it just as much as they did â even their grandmother got involved and had a great time! A wonderful experience for the whole family.
đ Family Action Verdict
Best for families with children aged 5 and up who learn by doing â grandparents and adults get just as absorbed as the kids. The planetarium is the unmissable anchor; book it first upon arrival. Children who are sensitive to heights may hesitate at the vertical slide. Allow a minimum of three hours to cover exhibits, a show, and the slide.

âWe (Mum and four children) visited in the school holidays and had a fabulous time. The Time Warp show was entertaining thanks to Harry and Miles did a great job with everyone on the Vertical Slide and the planetarium presentation. Although some of the exhibits are a little dated, you can touch and have a go at everything. A great place for families to learn. Two real positives of our visits - 1) you can come and go through out the day with the same ticket 2) you can bring in your own food and drinks or exit and purchase food from the nearby shops then return for more fun.â

âWe had a fantastic time at DS&TC! The visit was fun, engaging, and full of learning opportunities. We watched a fascinating solar system screening at the planetarium, enjoyed an exciting science show about wild weather, and the boys loved challenging themselves on the vertical slide. We also played for hours at the science playground. Altogether, we spent about 3 hours there, and every moment was worth it.â

âFantastic. My 5 year old loved it wants to back there. A lot of hands on science experiments that she could play with. The slide was also a memorable experience although a bit scary for her. Definitely go to planetarium. Harry the presenter was very engaging. Excellent with kids. Recommendedâ
