This is a good place for children to engage in various activities, and the water play area is very suitable for summer.

πŸ† Family Action Verdict

Best suited to families with toddlers through to primary-school-aged children who crave active, varied play. The water area is a standout drawcard in warmer months. Parents of multiple children should note the layout spreads across a generous footprint, so supervising across zones requires some attention.

β€œGorgeous playground with parking building nearby. The car park is a $ 20 flat rate daily fee, which is worth it. You and your family can easily spend half a day here. There is climbing equipment for both younger and older groups of kids. There are water features so if you are afraid of the wet clothes, pack extra clothes for your kids.”

β€œI walked through Tumberlong Park Playground on a hot summer’s day and was surprised to see so many families with their young children playing and having fun. They have created an awesome water fountain playground area which is large enough for lots of children to play in without feeling crowded. A nice little oasis in the heart of the city.”

Overview

Set in the heart of Darling Harbour, Tumbalong Park Playground is one of Sydney's most popular family destinations. Kids can tackle serious climbing equipment, launch down a giant slide, and cool off in an interactive water fountain area during summer. A large group swing adds a social element rarely found at suburban parks. The playground is fully wheelchair accessible and surrounded by open parkland. A multi-storey car park sits directly adjacent, making it straightforward to arrive with young children and gear in tow. Most families find themselves staying well beyond their planned visit.
